Born in 1940 on the Maine coast island of Vinalhaven.

Schooled in the western Massachusetts city of Springfield.

Holds a BA in Art & Education from Graceland College, Lamoni, Iowa.

Has twenty one years experience in teaching public HS/JH art in Iowa.

Employed for several years as a technical illustrator in Minnesota.

Owned and operated a commercial screen print production company in Minnesota.
 
Periodic visits to the coast of Maine, the states of Washington and Minnesota,
and the mountains of Colorado keep the artist supplied with fresh subject ideas.
